In the second drawing, the pose was quite a different view. I was straight on with the model and so I was able to really focus on the proportions and I began to attempt to draw in the axis line rather than an outline. I still ended up outlining portions so I could visually place body parts. I improved on the line quality and sense of scale in drawing two. I think I was mentally more concerned about getting the axis lines and darks and lights in place rather than getting the details of the body on the page.
In the third drawing I believe I have made the most improvements. The main focus was creating the curvature in the models spine. Although it stands out to be a bit dark in the drawing, the proportion and curves are visually correct. I enjoy how in this third drawing you can really note the axis lines, especially along the legs and back. By creating more contrast along the right leg, it appears to be further in the foreground.
Generally, I think there is a great improvement in my patience and overall eye for figure drawing. I'm looking forward to seeing my future progression and getting more detailed in the drawings. My main concern is really being sure of proportion before continuing ahead in the drawing. I often seem to find something major that I want to change in a later stage of my piece. I'm going to work on taking the time to really look and carefully place the axis lines and value correctly.
